  22 Chongqing Productivity Promotion Center is a State-level Model PPC, which is established under the approval of the MOST and subordinated to Chongqing Municipal Department of Science and Technology (CQDST). The center adheres to the principle of promoting technological innovation in enterprises and promoting the development of productivity, For this purpose, it evolves round the essential task of upgrading technological innovation capacity of enterprises to provide enterprises with diversified and comprehensive services, including information delivery, technological consultation, personnel training, enterprise diagnosis, planning, and transforming scientific and technological achievements. The center bears the philosophy of "winning tull suplport from the government, stressing the interests of enterprises, drawing forces from science and technology, and offering high efficiency services," and the spirit of "creation, devotion, reliability and collaboration" to exert all its efforts to comprehensively improve the productivity levels and competitive edges of enterprises in the city.

During the 2000-2001 period,the center succeeded in planning and popularizing 34 enterprise projects,and assisted them to apply for technological innovation funds designated to SMEs with science and technology as the orientation,as well as funds assigned to transform agricultural scientific and technological achievements. Of this,six projects won a total of 5.8 million yuan gratuitous funds and 800,000 yuan discount loans,including the JC-A type focus ultrasonic tumor therapeutic system,digital CCD high precision imaging system,and spread spectrum code multi-site radio router. 22 2. The center implements process management on projects industrializing sicentific and technological achievements,Since 2000,it has been engaged in the process management of the industrialization projects as assigned by CQDST,which are"high speed precision principal axis","CS series single screw pump",and "TZ-4 type multi-function micro ploughing and technological problems to introduce enterprises into scientific and standard management modes.Of this,the project of"CS series single screw pump" realized an output value of 10 million yuan and paid 1.4 million taxes in 2000 22 3. It sponsored diversified professional training programs So far,it has held over 20 terms of professional training courses in the aspects of computer network,CAD technology,WTO hnowledge,and ISO9000 information,inviting more than 500 participants,In july 2000,the ce4nter organized ten factory directors and managers for a 15-day training program at the productivity promotion Bureau of Hong Kong. 22 4. The center joins up technological consultation,enterprise diagnosis,and enterprise ISO9000 consultation and authentication to stimulate enterprises initiating high starting point management and standardized operation.To date,it has completed 7 enterprise diagnosis,92 technological consultation,and three ISO9000 consultation and authentication. 22 5. It builds up the Chongqing Productivity promotion Network (http:WWW.cqppc.com.cn),realizing connection with the national productivity information network,and LANs of science and technology administrations at county and district levels in the city,And this contributes to the formation of the pattern that integrates Internet,national productivity network and local information networks. 22 6. The center provides enterprises with the business of searching for latest scientific and technological achievements So far,it has completed over 400 items open for searching scientific and technological achievements,which receives 750 enterprise clients. 22 7. The center also accomplishes various tasks assigned by local govemments.Of this,it satisfactorily completed the project of "Qinghua doctors touring Chonqging",which provided scientific and technological services in the city in July 2000 ,It also undertook the tasks of CQDST in 2001 to make publicity of invigorating agriculture through science and technology and constructing multimedia electronic book repository of applied technologies in the city.
